Information We Collect: To process donations and issue tax-deductible receipts, we collect specific personal information including your name and email address. This data is required for our internal accounting and to comply with IRS regulations for non-profit organizations.
Financial Data Security: We take the security of your financial information seriously. We use trusted third-party payment processors (such as Stripe or PayPal) to handle all donation transactions.
No Storage: My Catholic Life! does not store your full credit card number, expiration date, or CVC code on our servers.
Secure Transmission: Your payment details are encrypted and transmitted directly to our payment processor.
Data Retention for Donors: We are required by law to retain donation records for tax and accounting purposes (typically for 7 years). These records are kept securely and are accessed only for administrative or compliance purposes.
Notice to International Donors (GDPR) If you are donating from outside the United States, please be aware that your personal data is being transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country. By donating, you consent to this transfer.
Under the GDPR, European residents have the right to request access to their personal data, request correction of inaccuracies, or request erasure of their data (subject to our legal requirement to retain transaction records for tax purposes). Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms By submitting a donation to My Catholic Life!, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. These terms apply to all one-time and recurring donations made through our website.
2. Donation Refund Policy As a non-profit organization, My Catholic Life! relies on the generosity of our donors to support our mission. generally, donations are considered non-refundable.
However, we recognize that errors can happen. If you have made an error in your donation amount or if a duplicate donation was processed, please contact us at donations@mycatholic.life within 7 days of the transaction. Refunds for errors will be granted at the discretion of our administration.
3. Recurring Donations If you have set up a recurring (monthly) donation, you authorize us to charge your selected payment method on the schedule you agreed to.
Cancellation: You may cancel or adjust your recurring donation at any time. You can do this by logging into your Donor Dashboard on our website or by contacting us directly at donations@mycatholic.life.
Notification: Please provide at least 3 business days' notice before your next scheduled transaction date to ensure the cancellation is processed in time.
4. Tax-Deductible Information My Catholic Life! is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Receipts: You will receive an email receipt immediately after your donation is processed. Please keep this receipt for your tax records.
Annual Statements: Annual giving statements for tax purposes are available in the donor dashboard by January 31st of the following year.

Data Security: My Catholic Life! does not store your complete credit card or banking information on our servers. Your payment details are transmitted directly and securely to our payment processor.
Authorization: By providing your payment information, you authorize our payment processor to charge the specified amount to your card or bank account.
6. Privacy We value your privacy and the trust you place in us. Your personal information (name, address, email, phone number) is collected solely for the purpose of processing your donation and communicating with you about our ministry. 7. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions generally shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.
8. Changes to These Terms My Catholic Life! reserves the right to modify these Donation Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
