Make you notice say na still Easter Sunday, the day wey Jesus rise from death. And notice say the disciples gather together with “fear.” Dem dey fear for their life. Dem dey fear say wetin happen to Jesus go soon happen to dem too. So, na as dem dey fear like this Jesus appear.
Make we take time meditate well on Jesus words and actions. E tell dem, “Make peace dey with una.” And E show dem His holy wounds. For that moment, joy shine enter the darkness of fear and lift that heavy load comot. Na the joy of seeing say even the wounds wey kill Jesus no fit stop His mission.
As Jesus give dem His peace, E also give dem the Holy Spirit. And with that Gift, E give dem their mission to continue His work of forgiving sins. The Father don send the Son enter the world to bring salvation, and now Jesus dey invite His new Apostles, His first priests, to share for the sacramental act of forgiving sins in a real and personal way.
This meditation suppose focus especially on the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Na truly by God power sins dey receive forgiveness for that Sacrament.
