When Elizabeth hear Mary greeting, the baby jump inside her belle, and Elizabeth, wey Holy Spirit fill, shout with loud voice, say, “Among all women, na you God bless pass, and the pikin wey dey your belle get blessing too. How this kind thing take happen to me, say the Mama of my Lord come visit me? Because as the sound of your greeting reach my ear, the baby inside my belle jump for joy. As our Mama wey God bless stand for front of her Son Cross, she get three long hours to think deeply about all the powerful moments and things wey happen for His life for this earth. Maybe her mind go don go back to the beginning, when Saint John the Baptist testify about Jesus from inside Elizabeth belle.
Saint John feel say di Saviour of di World dey there. E no fit use im mind understand dis mystery finish, but e understand di mystery for im spirit. Joy touch am, and e jump. No be something wey e choose by im own will; na Holy Spirit move am. E receive dis gift of joy and respond from inside im mama belle. Elizabeth feel dat joy, and she express am to di Mother of God and to all of us.
As our Blessed Mother dey look her Son wey dem nail for cross, di joy of dat moment wey she experience so many years before go don bring her peace and comfort. Di Father no abandon her Son for di Cross. How E go fit do dat? How di Father and di Holy Spirit go fit no dey present for dis moment? Na di Holy Spirit move Saint John with joy all those years before, and now, na di same Holy Spirit dey move Jesus mama again with joy wey pass even di death of her Son.
As Mother Mary dey look her Son wey dem nail for cross, her joy go don come from di simple fact say na her Son she dey look. She see His divine Person wey di blood and bruises cover. Even with di horror of di Crucifixion, nothing fit ever wipe away di joy of His Incarnation. E be God, and E still be her Son, her flesh and blood. See dis kind joy, dis kind blessing, dis kind gift!
Today, reflect on di fact say God dey with you always, no matter wetin you dey pass through for life. Even inside di greatest suffering, God dey there. His presence na reason to rejoice. Dis joy pass anything and everything wey we fit face for life. Make di joy of God presence enter your heart today as you join our Blessed Mother look di suffering of di Son of God.
Mother wey I love so much, your eyes see di greatest horror wey anybody don ever know, but your heart jump for joy. Di joy wey you feel come from di holy and simple fact say no matter wetin dem do your Son, E still be God and E still be your Son. His presence always bring hope and joy, and nothing fit ever take dat one away.
Dear Mother, pray for me make I fit keep my eyes on di divine presence of your Son, no matter wetin I endure for life. Make dat divine presence be di joy wey go help me rejoice always.
My Saviour wey precious to me pass everything, no matter how dem beat and wound You, I dey rejoice because of Your divine presence for my life. I dey rejoice because You become human and join Yourself to me. Make I never allow di sufferings of life cover di joy wey Your presence dey give me.
